Professor Paul Downes is Professor of Psychology, Institute of Education, Dublin City University, and Affiliate Professor University of Malta. With over 120 peer-reviewed publications in areas of psychology, philosophy, education, law, anthropology and social policy, he has given keynote lectures and invited presentations in 30 countries, with invitations from 18 different countries' official ministries to present his research on inclusive systems and relational spaces. Lead Editor of The Routledge International Handbook of Equity and Inclusion in Education 2024, author/coauthor of numerous monographs published by the EU Commission, he has engaged in various Commission expert advisory roles, including for Pathways to School Success 2022, & PostET2020 Expert Panel.
