Xavier Bonal is Full Professor of Sociology at the Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona and director of the GEPS research group. He coordinates the Erasmus Mundus Master GLOBED and has held positions at the University of Amsterdam and in EU expert groups. He has published extensively on education, policy, and development, and serves on editorial boards of international journals. Bonal has also worked as a consultant for OECD, UNESCO, UNICEF, the European Commission, and the Council of Europe.
